At Grassland Nursery, we understand the vital importance of providing robust support for your trees, especially in areas prone to high winds or when the tree’s size demands extra stability. Proper staking and tying are essential to keep the root systems securely anchored in the soil, allowing the roots to spread and establish a strong foundation crucial for healthy growth. Without adequate support, newly planted trees can sway in the wind, causing the root ball to become loose and dry, ultimately hindering root development and leading to the tree’s decline.
Our 60cm tree ties, crafted from premium soft rubber, are specifically designed to provide superior strength and flexibility, delivering durable support without damaging the bark. These ties are weather and UV-resistant, ensuring they remain effective and reliable throughout the year, no matter the conditions. Featuring an intuitive locking mechanism, they are easily adjustable without the need for tools, making them ideal for a variety of garden projects.
For added protection, we also offer Tree Pads and Tree Blocks that create a protective barrier between the tree and stake, preventing chafing and encouraging optimal growth.
How to Install:
To install a 60cm rubber tree tie, start by placing a suitable stake next to the tree, ensuring it is firmly anchored in the ground. The size and length of the stake should be appropriate for the size and height of the tree. Next, form the tree tie into a figure-eight shape, with one loop around the tree trunk and the other around the stake, positioned about one-third of the way up the tree. Secure the tie using the locking mechanism or by tying it, ensuring it’s snug but not too tight, allowing the tree some movement. Regularly check the tie to make sure it isn’t too tight, adjusting it as the tree grows. After one to two years, once the tree is stable, remove the tie and stake.
Does the height include the pot?
No, we measure from the top of the pot to the tip of the plant except for some of the instant planted screens, in this case it will be stated in the description
How long does delivery take?
Most orders are delivered in just a few days, Smaller items are often sent with Parcelforce on a next day service, Larger items should allow up to 10 days due to the size of the items they often have to be sent on our own transport.
Where will you leave my plants?
We will leave your order at the front of your property, Parcelforce may
leave your items in a safe place if you let us know, Pallet couriers
will require a flat hard surface to deliver to, no gravel or soil, a
driveway or parking spot would be best. Most importantly Deliveries by
pallet courier will require access for a large truck (bin lorry sized)
to get near the delivery point. Deliveries sent on our own transport may come in a small van or larger truck.
