Ilex or holly is a huge family with many different varieties.

They can be evergreen shrubs or trees, they differ so much depending on the variety as not all have spikes.

Holly make lovely hedges or nice specimens.A fantastic female Holly bush with wonderful red berries. They are very low maintenance as they are slow growing. Hollies like to be planted in moist well drained soil in sun or shade.

Ilex 'Blue Maid' is a distinctive evergreen holly known for its unique foliage and vibrant berries. This variety features glossy, dark green leaves with a bluish tint and produces bright red berries in winter. 

Where Should I Site My Ilex 'Blue Maid'? 

Plant Ilex 'Blue Maid' in a sunny or partially shaded area with well-drained soil. It adapts well to various soil types, including clay, loam, and sandy soils, if not waterlogged. A location with some protection from strong winds is ideal to maintain its foliage and berry production. This holly works well in garden borders, as a formal hedge, or as a feature plant. 

Growth and Pruning 

Ilex 'Blue Maid' typically grows to a height of 1.5 to 2.5 meters. Its dense, compact growth habit makes it suitable for hedges or as a standalone feature. Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead or damaged branches and to shape the plant. Regular light pruning helps maintain its form and encourages fuller growth.

No, we measure from the top of the pot to the tip of the plant except for some of the instant planted screens, in this case it will be stated in the description

How long does delivery take?

Where will you leave my plants?

We will leave your order at the front of your property, Parcelforce may
leave your items in a safe place if you let us know, Pallet couriers
will require a flat hard surface to deliver to, no gravel or soil, a
driveway or parking spot would be best. Most importantly Deliveries by
pallet courier will require access for a large truck (bin lorry sized)
to get near the delivery point. Deliveries sent on our own transport may come in a small van or larger truck.
