Betula also known as Himalayan Birch - can be a deciduous tree or shrubs, usually colouring well in autumn and often with striking white, pink, or peeling brown bark; separate male and female catkins open before or with the leaves in spring. Birch trees thrive in full sun and require moist but well-drained soil. In a garden setting it is advised to add a high quality fertiliser when planting such as a tree and shrub compost. 

Betula Nigra known as the Black Birch or River Birch is becoming a very popular variety. They have many winning attributes that should be valued in the classic birch family. These particular variety is quick growing making it a good choice for screenage. They have emerald lime green foliage before darkening and turning ywllow in autumn. Early sring the much loved yellow catkins hang all over the branches feeding thebirds and insects. Now for the real winner, the bark.. pinkish brown and peels to reveal the creamy whte underneath which is incredible in winter! This variety is even better planting in groups or as a multi stem. These can reach up to 25m 

Betula Nigra are adaptable to most conditions, this includes wet ground, full sun, urban areas they even tolerate heat well. hey are low maintance do not need trimming. 

These should be planted and apprecated in all gardens.

No, we measure from the top of the pot to the tip of the plant except for some of the instant planted screens, in this case it will be stated in the description

How long does delivery take?

Most orders are delivered in just a few days, Smaller items are often sent with Parcelforce on a next day service, Larger items should allow up to 10 days due to the size of the items they often have to be sent on our own transport.

Where will you leave my plants?

We will leave your order at the front of your property, Parcelforce may
leave your items in a safe place if you let us know, Pallet couriers
will require a flat hard surface to deliver to, no gravel or soil, a
driveway or parking spot would be best. Most importantly Deliveries by
pallet courier will require access for a large truck (bin lorry sized)
to get near the delivery point. Deliveries sent on our own transport may come in a small van or larger truck.
