Campsis are vigorous deciduous climbers that produces exotic-looking clusters of trumpet flowers. They come in shades of vibrant orange, red or yellow, from late summer to the first frosts. They like plenty of space and warmth, so they are best when allowed to grow against a large wall or over a sturdy support in the full sun.
Campsis Golden Trumpet also known as trumpet vine can bring several benefits to your garden. This fast-growing, deciduous climber is valued for its vibrant yellow trumpet-shaped flowers, long blooming season, and ability to cover walls, fences, and structures with a tropical flair
As its name suggests, Campsis 'Golden Trumpet' produces striking golden-yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers. These flowers can be up to 8 cm (3 inches) long and bloom in large clusters, creating a dramatic display from midsummer to early autumn (July to September). The plant has an extended blooming period, adding vibrant color to your garden for several months when many other plants may have finished flowering.
The bright, exotic appearance of the flowers adds a touch of the tropics to UK gardens, making it perfect for creating a lush, warm-climate feel, even in temperate conditions. The large, tubular flowers are highly attractive to pollinators, particularly bees, butterflies, and hummingbird moths. Planting Campsis 'Golden Trumpet' helps support local biodiversity by providing nectar and a feeding ground for these beneficial insects.

-
Self-Clinging: The plant uses aerial roots to cling to surfaces, which means it doesn’t require extensive support structures and can easily establish itself on masonry, fences, or trellises.
-
Resilient and Easy to Grow: Campsis species are known for being tough and resilient. Once established, Campsis 'Golden Trumpet' requires little care beyond occasional pruning to control its size and shape. It is also drought-tolerant once mature, making it suitable for low-maintenance or water-wise gardens.

Hardy for UK Gardens: Although it thrives best in sunnier, warmer parts of the UK, Campsis can tolerate cold winters if planted in a sheltered spot. It will go dormant in the winter, losing its leaves, but will burst back into growth in the spring.
