Trachycarpus

Trachycarpus or Windmill Palm

Trachycarpus also known as hemp palm, windmill palm or nepalese fan palm. Evergreen bushy tree with big bold hand shaped leaves, a large trunk that will in time become very tall,

They are one of the easiest palms to grow in our climate. Trachycarpus create their own trunk as new foliage pushes out from the top of the plant.

How to Grow and Look after your Trachycarpus

They grow well in full sun or lightly dappled shade and most soil conditions.

These are one of the easiest palms to grow and are very hardy. Need protecting from cold strong drying winds as this will make their large leaves look battered and sad and extreme hard frosts.

Trachycarpus will grow to the height of 12 meters and 2.5 meters wide
