Anemone Japonica

Anemone or Windflowers

Anemone, Japanese anemone or windflower.

There is no other plant that puts on a late display like Japanese Anemones. Masses of pretty coloured flowers on slender stems cover the top of the usually bright green foliage they flower from late July through to the frosts.

They are called windflower because the breeze blows open the flowers and then blows the petals away after they are finished. They are hugely popular, one of our best sellers and we always sell out early...
